Bayonetta 2 was an undeniable critical success on Wii U. Unfortunately, the title wasn’t quite the financial success many were hoping for, leading some to wonder what the future would hold for the series. Well, after tonight, the future is looking incredibly bright, as Nintendo and Platinum Games have announced Bayonetta 3, exclusively on Switch! We’ve embedded the game’s teaser trailer below!
No release date has been announced at this time, so fans will likely have to wait a bit. Fortunately, they’ll have something to tide them over in the meantime! Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 will also arrive on Switch February 16! Once again, the titles will be sold together as a package.
Do you plan on picking up either Bayonetta release? Let us know in the comments below!

I found The Game Awards this year to actually be pretty decent, especially considering years past. Remember when Nintendo’s big announcement was Cranky Kong as a playable character in Tropical Freeze? Glad we’ve moved beyond that. Geoff Keighley didn’t overpromise this year, and it’s good to know that these awards are now established enough where we can get first looks at games by major studios.
Also, shout-out to Bandai Namco for announcing a new Soul Calibur. I know there was no Switch version announced, but maybe we’ll see another version with Link at some point like on the GameCube?
I was genuinely SHOCKED by how much Nintendo had to announce. I was planning for an easy evening and ended up with a bunch to cover! But, at least it was all good news!
