Minecraft‘s immense success left a huge impact on the gaming industry, effectively creating a new genre and influencing games ranging from its fellow indies to massive AAA titles. While this led to plenty of direct imitators, it also allowed for some new twists on established properties, like the well-received Dragon Quest Builders. Now it looks like Bandai Namco will be taking a crack at the crafting genre, only their version will involve ninjas!
The publisher announced Ninja Box for Switch in a recent issue of Japan’s CoroCoro Comic, though the revelation was a little light on details. The game will feature at least two characters, a normal kid named Hiroto and Tonkachi-kun, the requisite ninja. As for gaming, all we have right now is the promise of “super large-scale crafting” and the ability to create weapons, buildings, and many other items.
Hopefully more information will be available soon, such as more gameplay details, release date, and confirmation that it will be released outside Japan.
