While fans were recently left salivating after the release of the trailer for Monolith Soft’s upcoming Wii U game (tentatively titled “X”), they’ve been given an exciting new teaser to tide them over. While this one is, undeniably, less exciting than the trailer we saw just a few weeks ago, it is a rather intriguing piece of concept art for their upcoming 3DS game.
The concept art, which was released via a job posting on Facebook, tells us very little about the upcoming game, but it does appear to give us a potential glimpse at what may be the game’s central protagonists. The trees also may hint at an indigenous race players may encounter. Of course, this is all mere speculation, so we’ll let you make your own conclusions in the comments below.
As always, stay tuned to Nintendojo for more details as they arrive.

I like it already!
The widely-varying expressions on the trees gets the imagination cooking, and whoever those two humanoids are, I want to know their story. In the meantime, I shall dub them Young Samus and Uncle Chozo ;^)
Wow, that art is simply fantastic looking. We didn’t see much green in the trailer so this is a welcome sight. I’m a big fan of vibrant colors.
After Xenoblade Chronicles this game can’t be anything, but awesome. Now just to wait for five or six years.
very interesting, i think that this image is related to the one that monolith soft showed before, the previous art style has more in common with this picture than with the x trailer . what do you think? here is the picture they revelead a few months back.
