A few months back, Nintendo announced that, after nearly a year, Splatoon had received the game’s last free update. While some additional maps and weapons were still expected, it looked like those additions would likely end up as paid DLC. More recently, however, the company hinted that more free updates could still arrive for the popular title, and it looks like eight new weapons will arrive tomorrow evening! Here are the game’s latest additions:
- Bamboozler 14 MK III
- Berry Splattershot Pro
- Fresh Squiffer
- Mini Splatling
- Permanent Inkbrush
- Soda Slosher
- Tempered Dynamo Roller
- Wasabi Splattershot
The weapons will be added after Splatoon undergoes some online maintenance. Shortcuts in Flounder Heights and Saltspray Rig will be eliminated, as well as some other small glitches. Ideally, the changes will help to make the title an even more enjoyable online experience! The maintenance will occur tomorrow during the following times:
- 7:50 PM – 9 PM ET
- 4:50 PM – 6 PM PT
- 12:50 AM – 2 AM in the UK
- 1:50 AM – 3 AM in Europe
