Update: Today’s episode of Gathering at the Pokémon House came and went and, unfortunately, there was no new footage shown for Pokémon Sun and Moon. It was revealed that the title will apparently feature more than 10 new Pokémon, but we’ll likely have to wait a bit longer for any additional information on the titles.
Original story (published 03.28.2016): During last month’s Pokémon Direct broadcast, Nintendo officially announced Pokémon Sun and Moon, the seventh generation titles in the Pokémon franchise. Unfortunately, outside of some concept art, little was shown of the upcoming titles.
This coming weekend, fans could finally get their first real glimpse at the new games. The Japanese variety show Gathering at the Pokémon House promises footage of the games on the Sunday April 3 episode. Pokémon series director Junichi Masuda, battle director Shigeki Morimoto and Shigeru Ohmori, the game director of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, are slated to appear. At this time, little else is known. The episode could simply re-air what we saw in last month’s Pokémon Direct, but it’s entirely possible that fans could receive their first real glimpse at Pokémon Sun and Moon!
Stay tuned to Nintendojo for more information as it develops!
