Cool video game merchandise can be pretty hard to turn down. Considering the illustrious career Mega Man has had throughout the last 30 years, it’s unsurprising that the blue bomber has had quite a few neat offerings of his own. This year looks to be no exception with a number of new pieces that should appeal to gamers and collectors of all ages.
The officially licensed Mega Man board game from Jasco Games began shipping last week. Funded through Kickstarter, the gorgeous looking game features fully painted figures of Mega Man and some of his most notorious rogues. The company also offers an expansion pack, and a number of extras for the game. The game can be ordered through the company’s website here.

Perhaps one of the coolest pieces of new Mega Man merchandise is a pair of headphones that simulate the character’s iconic helmet. The headphones, from manufacturer Emio, will set Mega Man fans back $99, which includes tax and shipping costs. With Mega Man Legacy Collection releasing on Nintendo 3DS next month, these would be the perfect way to listen to the game’s fantastic chiptunes! The headphones can be ordered from Emio’s website here.
Unfortunately, Emio’s headphones are not currently scheduled for release in Europe. Our European readers might, however, be interested to know that both versions of the Game Boy Advance title Mega Man Battle Network 6 are set to appear on the Virtual Console this week. Cybeast Falzar version and Cybeast Gregar version will both be available, adding even more Mega Man goodness to the service.

I’ve never in my life wanted to own a giant pair of headphones… until I saw these. Must-own.
Cool stuff, but money is limited for extra swag. Those headphones would be a cool collectible though. Going to pass on the legacy collection, already have all the Mega Man games.
