For all you toy enthusiasts, you’ll love this little detail about an RC racer based on Mario Kart 8.
Toy developer JAKKS Pacific has created a Mario Kart RC racer that has a feature that flattens out its wheels and goes into a “hover mode” of sorts.
Unfortunately, since that technology isn’t always available at your every whim, it’s not actually hovering, but it’s pretty close. The way the “hover mode” works is that the wheels will still move when they’re flattened, allowing the racer to roll its way around.

For those RC enthusiasts or general Nintendo fanboys/girls, the Mario Kart racer will not be out until later this year. It will cost somewhere along the lines of $100, so if you have the money, you should definitely give it a look.
