Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is the latest in the long line of Lego games developed by Traveler’s Tales and is the first original Lego title to come to Nintendo Switch. The game’s full announcement trailer was released and it can be seen below:
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 takes place in Chronopolis, a city where all realities converge, and features a villain named Kang who is threatening the entire Marvel Universe. It is touted as being much bigger then the 2013 original, and will start players off in control of the Guardians of the Galaxy, before expanding to the rest of the franchise.
The game has apparently been in development for 18 months and the controls have apparently been overhauled this time around. Fans of the series can also expect a much larger open world, more voice work and a story co-written by Kurt Busiek (writer of Avengers Forever, one of the more highly regarded stories featuring Kang).
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 will be at E3 in June, so expect more coverage of it in the coming weeks.
