Pokémon Red and Green launched in Japan on February 27 1996 and so in honor of its 24th anniversary, The Pokémon Company has something special lined up for what has been dubbed Pokémon Day!
According to Pokémon’s official Japanese site (which has been translated by Serebii), a new legendary monster will be announced on Pokémon Day. It will be featured in Pokémon Sword and Shield on Switch as well as in Pokémon the Movie: Coco.
Serebii Update: On Pokémon Day (February 27th), a brand new Mythical Pokémon is to be revealed. This Pokémon will feature in Sword & Shield and the movie Pokémon the Movie: Coco.
