Last week, Square-Enix revealed Dragon Quest VIII for Nintendo 3DS, an enhanced port of the original Playstation 2 title. We already knew that the game would feature content exclusive to 3DS, but a recent article in the Japanese magazine V-Jump has revealed that the title will also boast a pair of new scenarios.
The new scenarios are named “Dhoulmagus’ Past” and “The Hero’s Childhood,” respectively. The former will reveal the villain Dhoulmagus’ attempts to learn how to wield magic, while the latter scenario will presumably flesh out the backstory of the game’s protagonist.
Dragon Quest VIII will release this August in Japan. Stay tuned to Nintendojo where we’ll keep you posted on any potential news regarding a release in North American or Europe!
