Nintendo has announced that the puzzle platformer, Never Alone, is currently being developed for Wii U.
Never Alone is the first ever game that has been made in collaboration with the Iñupiaq people. It features a young girl called Nuna and her arctic fox companion, and centers around their journey to cross a frozen tundra with an eternal blizzard right behind them.
The game was released last year on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, but the new Wii U version will feature added “cultural insights” which detail the culture, history, and lives of the Iñupiaq people on the Wii U GamePad. This fits in with the general theme of the game, as the story itself is interwoven with Iñupiaq folklore.
Never Alone will arrive in North America on Wii U this June.
