Recently released planning documents for Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando show that the project is expected to have a far larger presence at the park then we previously thought.
According to the documents, a large area seems to have been set aside for Nintendo’s attractions, which include a Super Mario Land, complete with Donkey Kong and Mario Kart areas. Sources have also told WFTV that Universal Studios recently purchased 500 acres of land and that it plans to use some of this to help facilitate its plans to expand Super Nintendo World.
It was originally announced back in 2015 that Nintendo would be teaming up with Universal to have Nintendo attractions at its parks, but details only really started to be released on the partnership back in 2016.
Of course, Orlando is not the only Universal park to be getting a ‘Super Nintendo World’, and we got our first glimpse at Japan’s attractions back in June.
