As seen in Nintendo’s October 27 Monster Hunter Direct, Monster Hunter XX, an upgraded version of Monster Hunter Generations, is coming to Nintendo 3DS and it’s bringing with it a slew of new content:
- Two new Hunting Styles – Brave Style and a second Style to be announced at a later date – will be introduced in Monster Hunter XX. Brave Style will allow you to quickly evade attack and deal damage through a series of continuous, linked attacks
- A G-Rank difficulty level
- An Airship-based hub village
- A Deviant version of Diablos and other monsters
These are just highlights of what was shown during the Monster Hunter Direct, which you can check out below:
Fret not, Monster Hunter Generations players: your save data can be transferred to Monster Hunter XX, and if you have save data from Monster Hunter Stories you will unlock a Nabiru outfit for their Palicoes.
Monster Hunter XX has only been confirmed for a Japanese release on March 18, 2017, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for any word on a release outside of Japan.
