Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom was a pleasant surprise announcement for Switch, so it’s even better to see the game actually running on Nintendo’s latest platform. The new footage is promising, indeed, but don’t take our word for it; check out the trailer below to see for yourselves:
The title is certainly looking sharp. Developer Game Atelier revealed that fans in attendance of Gamescom in Germany on August 22 through 26 will be able to get their hands on a new demo. The title is being created by series co-creator Ryuichi Nishizawa, so hopes are high that The Cursed Kingdom will be another solid return for Monster Boy along with the excellent remake of Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap. There’s no launch date as of this writing, but the game is expected to drop before 2018.
