After an extremely successful Kickstarter campaign and surprisingly long development time, Mighty No. 9 released in the summer of last year to disappointing reviews. However, for some supporters, that disappointment has likely been magnified by how long they have been waiting for some of the rewards they were promised for their crowdfunding support. While nobody quite knows when to expect those items, a little insight has finally been provided, though not from the developer.
Fangamer, the company contracted by Comcept to help deliver on the physical rewards, has issued a statement advising supporters of where things stand on its end. While several items were actually shipped back in 2015, the company is still waiting on Comcept for all the assets needed to deliver the remaining goods, which include art books, physical manuals, and NES cartridge-shaped USB drives with the game loaded on them. Fangamer did state it can still fulfill the orders within the first few months of this year, assuming of course Comcept can come through with the assets.
Unfortunately, not only has Comcept remained quiet on this issue, it hasn’t said anything in quite a while; between its website and various social media accounts, the company hasn’t posted anything since September of last year. Hopefully more information will come to light soon and the gamers who showed such great faith in Mighty No. 9 will receive their promised rewards soon.
