Based on a screenshot released today by Nintendo, the Wii Fit Trainer’s male counterpart will be joining the Super Smash Bros. roster, most likely as an alternate costume. The picture, posted on Miiverse by Smash Bros. producer Masahiro Sakurai, shows both Wii Fit Trainers in the air, striking a similar pose. The post was meant to celebrate the upcoming release of Wii Fit U – Trial Version, which will arrive on the Wii U eShop November 1st.
This wouldn’t be the first time the Smash Bros. series has featured alternate costumes. Wario in Super Smash Bros. Brawl had two different outfit designs you could choose from. Hopefully this leads to more alternate costumes for the series, like a Dr. Mario swap for Mario or Fusion Suit for Samus.
