Nintendo has been surprisingly quiet regarding Luigi’s Mansion on 3DS. The port was announced earlier this year, but months have gone by without much of a mention from the publisher. That all changed this morning when Nintendo officially announced an October release date for the title!
Originally appearing as a GameCube launch title, Luigi’s Mansion served as a new direction for the brother of Mario. While the game did not receive the same level of acclaim typical of the Mario Bros. franchise, critics and audiences still found it to be rather enjoyable, and it made a significant mark on the character moving forward. The title received a 3DS sequel in 2013, and elements and characters from the game followed Luigi to a number of other Nintendo releases over the years.
Luigi’s Mansion Arrives on Nintendo 3DS October 12.
