The latest Japanese sales report from Media Create is here, and there are a number of Switch-related titles in the top 10! Naturally, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild debuted at No. 1 with 186,379 copies (which, when combined with the Wii U version, make for a total of 230,991 copies). Both of the previous big Zelda games (Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword) lost their sales momentum quite quickly, so let’s hope Breath of the Wild hangs in there!
As for the other Switch titles, 1-2-Switch took the No. 3 spot with 79,356 copies. Dragon Quest Heroes I+II arrived at No. 7 with 25,606 copies; this may seem underwhelming given the series’ long-standing popularity in Japan, but remember both games enjoyed their time previously on other consoles. Rounding out the list are Puyo Puyo Tetris at No. 10 with 12,854 copies and Super Bomberman R at No. 6 with 36,623 copies.

Do we know how the console supply is over there? If it’s the same as over here, I would expect the game sales to completely bottom out next week, and stay there until they get more consoles into the market, at which point they’ll probably all go up again.
