Square Enix’s Bravely Default garnered significant commercial and critical success as gamers praised the way it adhered to and innovated on classic JRPG conventions. After the world wide release, it didn’t take long for a sequel to be announced, and now we know when it will be hitting store shelves, at least in Japan.
Square Enix has revealed that Bravely Second will be released on April 23, 2015. Furthermore, the publisher also announced a special edition of the game that will come with plenty of extras including an art/novel book, a figurine, a rubber strap, and a code for downloadable, in-game costumes. This version of the game will cost 14,800 yen, which comes out to about $123.00.
Of course, no official announcements have been made regarding a worldwide release, but seeing how the first game took more than a year to make its way out of Japan, we might have a wait a while.
