While Switch owning farming sim fans have had Stardew Valley to scratch their itch, they will soon be getting another option in the form of the latest entry in the series that spawned the whole genre. Harvest Moon: Light of Hope is coming to Nintendo’s hybrid console with some new features that weren’t included in the previously released PC version.
In addition to the life full of farming, romancing, and generally just living you’ve come to expect from the franchise, Light of Hope Special Edition also comes with a co-operative mode alongside a new character. A gem sprite by the name of Soleil will be in this version who can help you with your farming chores and serves as the avatar for the second player in multiplayer. Furthermore, as your relationship with Soleil develops, he or she will also eventually become a romantic option.
The game is currently scheduled to release on Switch in May. Beyond that, four downloadable expansions are currently planned which can be purchased individually or as part of a season pass.
