Earlier this week on Twitter, Chris Seavor, the creator of Rare’s, er, colorful squirrel Conker, teased some brief footage of his next Nintendo project: The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup, a 2D sidescrolling game for Wii U and 3DS.
Developed by Seavor’s new studio Gory Detail, Rusty Pup is described as a “dark” story-driven platformer, with elements of Lemmings and virtual pet games woven into the gameplay. Seavor posted a couple of brief videos of Rusty Pup on Vine, offering fans their first look at the title in motion:

Gory Detail is aiming to release The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup on both the Wii U and 3DS eShops in 2014.
