Nintendo kicked off E3 this year with an avalanche of news, from surprise announcements to new details on previously revealed projects. Naturally, no such news would be complete without corresponding Amiibo to complement the new games, and this year’s announcements are no different. So far, new lines of Amiibo have been revealed to go alongside Mario Odyssey, Metroid: Samus Returns, Fire Emblem Warriors, and the upcoming DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
For Mario Odyssey, Nintendo will release new takes on Mario, Peach, and Bowser that match their looks from the game inspired by Bowser’s plans to marry Peach. New Amiibo of a Koopa Troopa and Goomba are also being released. Mario Odyssey releases on October 27.
Nintendo also teased some of the upcoming DLC content for Breath of the Wild, the second batch of which will be entitled The Champion’s Ballad, which appears to focus on the heroes Mipha, Daruk, Revali, and Urbosa. This new DLC doesn’t have a set release date yet, but it stands to reason these Amiibo will likely be release around the same time.
To go along with the recently revealed Metroid: Samus Returns, Nintendo will release a new Samus Aran Amiibo alongside a Metroid Amiibo that features a special squishy texture for the titular monster. The two-pack should be out alongside the game on September 15.
Finally, when Fire Emblem Warriors hits store shelves later this year, fans will also be able to pick up Amiibo of Chrom and Tiki.
