During the E3 Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Square Enix is bringing both Collection of Mana and a re-make of Trials of Mana to Switch.
Trials of Mana is apparently being completely rebuilt for modern systems, with a new action-RPG battle system, levelling and skill systems and modern 3D graphics.
“Trials of Mana is a full high definition remake of the third entry in the Mana series, previously exclusively released in Japan in 1995 as Seiken Densetsu 3. Trials of Mana tells the story of six heroes as they battle against the monsters of destruction that threaten a world where Mana has been weakened. Players can customize their own party of three, selected from six unique characters, to experience different stories.”
As if that wasn’t enough, Square Enix also surprised us by announcing that Collections of Mana, which brings together the first three titles in the series (FINAL FANTASY Adventure, Secret of Mana and the original Trials of Mana), would be available soon after the Nintendo Direct.
You can see the reveal trailer for both below:
Collections of Mana is available to download from the eShop now, while the Trials of Mana remaster will be available in early 2020.
