Fans of Ubisoft’s mega-popular dance franchise will have yet another opportunity to show off their moves, as the publisher has announced Just Dance 2017. The title is slated to arrive on Wii and Wii U this October, and, surprisingly enough, the NX early next year. This makes the game only the second title officially announced for the platform, after The Legend of Zelda!
Rhythm games are nothing without music, and Ubisoft has already confirmed a handful of the title’s 40 new tracks:
“Cheap Thrills” – Sia Ft. Sean Paul
“DADDY” – Psy Ft. CL of 2NE1
“Don’t Stop Me Now” – Queen
“El Tiki” – Maluma
“Lean On” – Major Lazer Ft. MØ & DJ Snake
“PoPiPo” – Hatsune Miku
“Radical” – Dyro & Dannic
“September” – Equinox Stars
“Sorry” – Justin Bieber
“What Is Love” – Ultraclub 90
“Worth It” – Fifth Harmony Ft. Kid Ink
As usual, the title features a number of dance hits, spanning the decades. Kids will undoubtedly flock to the title for artists like Justin Bieber, but older dancers will appreciate the presence of Freddie Mercury and the song popularized by A Night at the Roxbury. A new mode, titled Just Dance Machine, will also task players with performing different types of dances, including ballet, flamenco and the cancan. All this will apparently help send aliens home, but it’s unlikely that most players are interested in the game’s storyline!
