With the debut of the NX drawing ever closer, a handful of game announcements have started to slip through the cracks. In the most recent issue of Famitsu Weekly, Dragon Quest X Producer Yosuke Saito and Director Chikara Saito confirmed that the title is in production for the NX, alongside Dragon Quest XI. While Square Enix had previously mentioned the possibility that Dragon Quest X and XI would release on the NX in addition to PS4, this is the first official confirmation for the games on the new platform.
Unfortunately, the Dragon Quest titles have struggled to find localized releases in the past. It will be very interesting to see when and if the games will see release in North America or Europe. Regardless, it’s certainly a bit of good news, as it’s yet another hint that the NX could see the same strong third party support enjoyed by the 3DS.
Stay tuned to Nintendojo for more information on Dragon Quest X and XI as it develops!

Can’t wait for DQVII on 3DS. Still hoping to hear a confirmed release date for DQVIII on 3DS (I played through it on PS2 but it’s been long enough that I’d do it again on the go!)
I’m not concerned about DQX as I’m not into MMOs. However from what I understand, DQXI looks like a true return to form. Between that and the new Zelda, there’s 250 hours of gaming on the NX.
