Square Enix has announced Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3, the latest entry in the spin-off series Dragon Quest Monsters which is coming to Nintendo 3DS. Details are very scant at the moment, but series creator Yuji Hori had a few details to offer. The game will of course offer new monsters, systems, and connectivity functions.
A release outside Japan was not discussed, but previous DQM games have had international releases. Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 is (obviously) the sequel to Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2, which was released for Nintendo DS in 2010 in Japan and 2011 in the West. Gameplay has players exploring areas and capturing monsters in order to fight for them. The games allowed players to battle each other in multiplayer with monster teams as well. The Joker games themselves are a sub-series within the Dragon Quest Monsters series, which are spin-offs from the main Dragon Quest games.
