Nintendo’s Switch continues to see strong sales figures and two titles in particular seem to be doing well in Japan and across Asia right now.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 launched last week, so it’s still a bit too early to have any exact sales figures, but Bandai Namco reports that they are experiencing a shortage of copies of the game and that they expect to ship out more by the end of the month.
Of course, it’s possible that Bandai Namco only shipped a modest amount of Dragon Ball at launch and so this may not amount to a surprisingly large amount of copies sold, but the fact that demand is outpacing supply indicates that consumers are very much interested. The western release of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on Switch is September 22.
Meanwhile, Monster Hunter XX has shipped over 300,000 copies across Asia, with 200,000 units shipped to Japan alone. The game is also experiencing a high download rate in Japan and sales figures through September 3 indicate that 110,000 copies have been sold digitally on Switch in total.
