The Pokémon franchise is no stranger to the silver screen as Ash, Pikachu, and the rest of the anime crew have starred in numerous films over the course of the last two decades. However, the popular series will soon make its live action debut as production appears to be underway on Detective Pikachu, a film based on the spin-off game of the same name.
The movie is currently being filmed in London and a number of pictures from the set have found their way online. While these pictures don’t do much to show what the final product will really look like, they do offer some details. The movie takes place in Ryme City and involves the police department which celebrates its “Human Pokémon Partnership.” Also, the shots show off plenty of blue clad actors and cutouts which will most likely end up replaced by computer-generated Pokémon in the film.
