Golf Story was shown off during 2017’s Summer Nindies Direct broadcast and caught many a viewer off guard. A mix of RPG and golfing mechanics with just a splash of Mario Golf on Game Boy Color for good measure, Golf Story looked full of promise the second its first trailer hit the internet. Flash forward to now and the game has been a great success, living up to its potential and then some. For those who have been wanting a physical copy of Golf Story, take heart, as it’s been revealed that not only is a cartridge coming from Limited Run Games, but also a collector’s edition!

Sidebar Games’ Golf Story will be able available for preorder along with all of the above goodies in tow starting September 28. The collector’s edition is expected to arrive later, so those wanting the game by itself first can request to have them shipped separately. There’s also word that one of Golf Story’s hidden goodies, an 8-bit homage game called GALF, is being turned into an actual, playable cartridge for NES!
