It’s hard to believe, but the release of Nintendo’s latest system is just a few short weeks away. That same day, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will also release, after years of development. On March 1, two days before launch, Nintendo will host a Zelda panel during this year’s Game Developer’s Conference.
Several important members of the Breath of the Wild development team will be on hand for the panel, including Game Director Hidemaro Fujibayashi, Technical Director Takuhiro Dohta and Art Director Satoru Takizawa. The panel is entitled “Change and Constant- Breaking Conventions with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.” That name alone should give attendees a fairly good idea what to expect, specifically how the title will maintain the core of the series while also evolving the gameplay.
The panel is scheduled to run from 11am-1230pm. There is no live stream currently planned. Video from the panel will likely appear on the GDC website the following week.
