Last Friday, Nintendo released the latest Amiibo line, a celebration of the 30th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda. It’s long been known that the figures would work with Breath of the Wild but Nintendo announced over the weekend exactly what fans can expect when the game releases.
Each figure will provide Link with a random number of items when scanned, with each Amiibo contributing a different particular item. 8-Bit Link will provide players with barrels, which may hold rupees. em>Ocarina of Time Link and Toon Link will provide players with meat and fish, respectively. Finally, Wind Waker Zelda will unlock a number of plants. Each figure may also provide Link with a treasure chest, as well.
In the meantime, the figures are currently compatible with Hyrule Warriors Legends, Twilight Princess HD and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U. Did you pick up any of the Zelda series Amiibo? Let us know in the comments below!
