Last year, developer Inti Creates released Azure Striker Gunvolt on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. The Mega Man X-inspired title amassed stellar reviews and over 900,000 downloads. As a result, it should come as little surprise that the developer has decided to continue pushing the franchise forward. This weekend, Inti Creates officially announced Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 for the Nintendo 3DS eShop! Unfortunately, there are no further details on the title available at this time.
While that news should excite fans of the original game, Inti Creates also revealed that an update is on the way for the original Azure Striker Gunvolt title, as well. The update will offer new features specifically designed to take advantage of the New Nintendo 3DS hardware. Faster load times, new music, a boss rush mode and the ability to toggle weapons quickly with the ZL and ZR buttons are all being added with the new update.
The update releases in Japan on March 11. We’ll have more information on when to expect the update in other territories, not to mention Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, in the coming months! Stay tuned!
