Argonaut Games is a name that Nintendo fans should know intimately, as they’re the ones behind the Super FX Chip and games like the original Star Fox. The UK outfit has quite the pedigree in the industry, but it’s been 20 years since they were involved with making games. That’s about to change, as Argonaut just announced that it’s bringing Croc Legend of the Gobbos to modern consoles this September.
This is a remaster of the PlayStation and SEGA Saturn platformer from back in 1997. Argonaut itself is back in action with original founder Jez San at the helm, who hopes to see the company once again pushing the boundaries of what video games are capable of. Since the beginning, Argonaut was famous for incorporating 3D and polygons into video games in ways that had never been seen before. So much so that it eventually caught the eye of Nintendo, and the rest was history.
Crock Legend of the Gobbos is coming soon to Nintendo Switch.
