Analogue Pocket, the legacy retro portable that plays everything from Game Boy to Game Gear cartridges, is set to resume sales after selling through its initial batch of pre-orders. Analogue made the announcement via Twitter that beginning on December 14 consumers will be able to begin placing orders once more. That’s this Tuesday starting at 8 AM PST:
Pocket will be available to purchase on December 14th at 8am PST. It is our goal for everyone who wants a Pocket to be able secure an order.
To accomplish this in the context of a global pandemic, we are implementing a fulfillment protocol. pic.twitter.com/jHukRh0R2I

There is one caveat, however, which is that the price per unit for Analogue Pocket has risen:
In addition, due to industry wide component price increases, the price of Pocket is now $219. All other Pocket accessories will remain the same price.

As Analogue notes, the spike in price is due to the rising costs of certain components used in the manufacture of the handheld itself. It stinks, certainly, but it’s an issue plaguing countless manufacturers of all stripes across the globe. On the bright side, those who missed out on a pre-order of Analogue Pocket can try again to get a hold of one.
