Nintendo’s toys to life initiative Amiibo has been a huge hit since its inception, and there looks to be no slowing its meteoric rise anytime soon. During today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast, Wave 4 of the popular figures was unveiled, with Charizard, Ness, Lucina, Robin, Wario, and Pac-Man! The new figures are anticipated to arrive this coming April. As if that wasn’t enough, it was also revealed that Mario Party 10 will be getting in on the Amiibo action.
For Mario Party 10, however, Nintendo is going to do things a little differently. Coinciding with the release of the game on March 20, a new line of the figures will also be bowing, dubbed the Super Mario Collection. Most of the Amiibos from that line will be redesigns of previously released figures (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, and Yoshi), while one will be entirely new (Toad), and all will be resting atop red bases, as opposed to black. A special bundle of Mario Party 10 will come with the redesigned Super Mario Amiibo and a copy of the game.

Too bad you have to wipe your Smash Bros. data off your Mario amiibo to use it in Mario Party 10. Something tells me hardware limitations aren’t to blame… Hmm…
Well, I plan on getting the Rob and Lucy amiibos anyway. Plus, they’ll just look so nice with Marth on my shelf. The last time they made Fire Emblem figurines was in ’96 for FE4, so I’m definitely not passing this opportunity up.
My unfulfilled childhood desire to get a Charizard figurine might push me to get one of those. I mean, I’m sure we’ll get a console pokemon game to use it with eventually, right? ….right?
Predictions on order of sellout?
My guess is Robin -> Lucina -> Ness -> Pac Man -> Charizard -> Wario

Hmm… apparently they’re splitting up the wave. Most are coming out in March with two moved to May (Pac-Man & Wario). Interesting…
These are the Amiibo I’ve been waiting for! Charizard, Pac-Man and Toad will all be mine!
I’ll be getting all ten for sure! I already have all of them so far and all of Wave 3 on preorder, why stop now? :D I just have no idea where I’m going to put all these little guys…
T__T I’m missing all the retailer exclusives for my Wave 3 preorders. So jelly. Will not be dropping the ball on Wave 4, though!
