Bandai Namco is bringing The Dashing Prince and King of All Cosmos to Nintendo Switch in Katamari Damacy REROLL, set to release on December 7.
For anyone unfamiliar with the series, the goal is to gather and roll up progressively larger items through quirky and inventive levels to beat each level’s “par” size before the timer runs out. The series is known especially for its unique art style and catchy J-pop soundtracks.
In Katamari Damacy REROLL, a remaster of the 14-year-old Katamari Damacy, The King of All Cosmos makes the mistake of knocking all of the stars out of the sky after a particularly rambunctious night of fun. He then tasks his son, The Prince, with going to Earth to roll up as many things as possible to replace the fallen stars. The game will feature motion controls optimized for Switch, whether the console is in TV or Tabletop mode.
