“Did you pick up 3DS yesterday?”
That seems to be the biggest question on every Nintendo fan’s lips today as Nintendo has, over the weekend unleashed the next level of immersive gameplay to our hands. Not content to stay confined to our TV and portable screens, Mario and the crew have made a glorious adventure into the third dimension.
Only… Mario is sitting out this launch. So are Link, Kirby, Samus, Donkey Kong and even Kid Icarus. Of those names, most have been announced or rumored to have something coming down the pike, but until those releases come out, is there really a reason to run out and buy Nintendo’s new handheld? Oh, there are, of course Nintendogs, Miis, and a submarine from the big N to attract our attention… or maybe to give 3rd-party developers a chance to shine first.
While it’s not the best launch of a console, there’s still plenty of fun to be had by those early adopters. Were you one of them like a number of our staffers? Or were you content to take a more conservative approach like those of us who didn’t flock out to pick up a system right away? Either way, we hope to have plenty for you to enjoy during our week celebrating the launch of 3DS, whether you’re already onboard or waiting for the next boat.
Game On!

Issue 44: The Stolen Goods
When Nintendo innovates, other companies usually take notice… and then steal those ideas.
Yes. I picked up the Erotic Blue 3DS instead of Puritan Slate.
Did I pick up a game? I’m tempted to get Super Street Fighter 4 3D Edition or Ghost Recon; but I decided to abstain for now. The AR Games are great and I have had fun testing out the hundreds of DS games I already own. I noticed it logs the titles you have played on it. So, I shall play a little bit of everything to see what happens when I max out that Album. I have been walking to get my coins and I have seen a few Miis in the wild already. (Which surprised the Hell out of me….) I have also been playing the Find Mii! mini-game and finding it to be great fun.
I regret nothing and here is my friend code!

Mine is 4210-3992-7013. I already added you to my friend list, dmgice.
Can’t do it until I get some cash. Problem: can’t trade in my DSi without losing my DSiware (gotta have both systems to transfer; then what’s the point?).
I’ll post as soon as that black box falls into my hands.
My friend code is 2363-5625-9535. I’ve added both of you and also put a topic up on the Nintendojo forums :) See ya online!
I have my friend code which is 4296-2983-3366 so I picked the teal colored 3DS.
Oh! If you have a 3DS copy this file to where your 3DS Pics are stored on your SD Card!

I just made it. It’s a picture of the Bianca and Prof Juniper sprites from Pokemon B&W in a forest. It’s 3D though. Which is pretty great. I’ll be making comics in 3D soon too.
