Noah you aren’t getting a 3DS right away, correct? Why not get pokemon then? I think its matured enough now that if you play it (especially in the background while watching TV or something) you’ll enjoy it.
In regards to mythology in games. Nobody take this the wrong way please, but I love the use of Christian imagery and lore in Xenogears and the Xenosaga trilogy. There is the DS version we never got so thats kinda Nintendo.
Granted when games use mythology they usually just borrow little bits and pieces and do their own thing with it. Its more so a inspiration than a reference.
Since you guys mentioned “American Mythology” I think you should Check out Sakura Wars on Wii. Granted its more an exagerated absurdist use of Americna culture. But if you’re looking for that kinda thing you should check it out.
And yes Noah Bioshock is about objectivism.
