Ah, the Twitter. In the age of Myspaces and Friendsters and Xangas, people were just simply doing too much– spending hours customizing the “layout” of their profiles in HTML, constantly changing their pictures to match their profile, writing gobs and gobs of information about their life that no one really cares about, and having to fumble through your friend’s page to find a place to leave comments. Gone is all of this with Twitter, the newest trend in social networking, where you are only given 140 characters to complain about your life, link to cool webpages, or socialize among friends/complete strangers.
In this week’s issue, we present the hypothetical scenario of Nintendo characters living amongst us human beings in the real world, and this is a great point in time to be doing it. We all know these beloved characters do not talk much in the games that they appear in, so Twitter is the perfect website for them to express themselves! No Nintendo character would ever use Myspace or Friendster, and not only because they’re lame, but because they’re too much! Below are some sample tweets from our favorite video game characters that would probably happen if they happened to have access to Twitter.
- Even Bowser has a heart.
- Bowser is pretty outspoken on Twitter, a characteristic that sometimes doesn't play in his favor.
- Donkey Kong sometimes confuses his computer with his drums.
- Lakitu expresses his displeasure of being everyone's errand boy.
- Link won't even speak on Twitter. Meanwhile, Navi makes up for it.
- Some Nintendo characters have fallen on hard times.
- Mario is tired of cake, and wants a real reward.
- Samus just still hasn't cheered up since Metroid: Other M, or gone back to following her own orders.
- Wario wants his own game with Waluigi.
Hilarious… I would totally follow these!
These were all great, especially the cake one. XD
