WiiWare and Nintendo eShop have, we think, totally democratized the act of experiencing new video games for the first time. Before, only video game journalists could go out and play games like MotoHeroz or Resident Evil Revelations well before they released in retail; now, video game enthusiasts can just head to Nintendo eShop, where demos often show up well before the release date. Today, we all got to play Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D, four days before it releases on February 21. And though it’s supposed to use the infamous Circle Pad Pro, anyone can test it out without that nifty accessory via eShop.

So what do our lovely Nintendojo readers think of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D? Did you love the graphics? Were the controls terrifying? Was Snake’s voice a little too crazy this time around? Let us know in the comments below. And if you haven’t played the demo yet– well, what are you waiting for?

I enjoyed it. I didn’t mind the controls although i could see how some people would prefer a second analog stick for it. The game looks really good tho

I wish they would have ported over the original metal gear solid instead tho. That one’s my favorite. Loved the gamecube remake

Mmm, Snake Eater. It’s perfect, and I’ve played through the demo in every way you can imagine. No alerts, speed run, collect everything, collect nothing, CQC only, snipe every last animal… I pick up the real thing later today, and can go this nuts over the entire game! :^)

I remember a rumor of bringing other Metal Gears to 3DS. I’d sure love to see that, any and all of them would be most welcome. I’d especially be interested in modernized remakes of the MSX originals, but that would take a great deal of developer effort and commitment…
