As someone who doesn’t drive, and has no real desire to learn how, I have a sort of an odd view towards cars and other modes of transport. I appreciate their practicality, but sometimes feel a pang of regret that we are so reliant on them. Sure, a stint in a car does shorten a journey to work, but do we really need to use the car? Couldn’t we just use public transport? Or walk, if it’s not that far away? In recent years, vehicles seem to have become less of a necessity, and more of a status symbol. Sean P. Puff Daddy Puffy Diddy Combs Esq. doesn’t need a yacht in the slightest, he just has one because he can, to display his wealth. Now, with someone like Richard Branson, however, I can understand his need for a yacht, because he owns an island and needs to get there somehow (I could argue about his need for an island, but this article isn’t about that).
In the following list, is a collection of vehicles that I have deemed to be awesome. Also, by sheer coincidence, they all happen to meet the bizarre criteria of my slightly odd rant above. All the vehicles in the following Top Ten are objects of wonder, and the owners of these wonderful machines actually need them. There’ll be no wasteful unnecessary carbon emissions here, thank you very much. Of course, by the time we get to the end of this list, you may be left wondering if my definition of vehicle was a little…loose.
