Zelda Electric Ocarina of Time Pre-Orders Are Live

Nintendo announced that an electric version of the Ocarina of Time would be launching celebration of both the nominal game and the series’ 30th anniversary. At the time, it wasn’t clear when the replica would be coming out, but now it seems that the drop dead is set for November 12, 2026. What’s more, pre-orders are open, so if you want to try your luck at getting one before the scalpers ruin everything, hit up this link (a pun!).

Here’s a look at the ocarina. It comes with a display stand, has a headphone jack, and runs off of batteries:

Here’s how Nintendo describes the Electric Ocarina of Time:

There are two ways to “play” (everything is done with button presses) this Ocarina:

  • Free Play Mode: Touch the finger holes buttons to play individual notes and melodies freely for an intuitive ocarina-style experience.
  • Auto-Play Mode: Enjoy 12 in-game songs with the press of a button. It is an easy way for players of all experience levels to experience familiar music from the game.

The eagle-eyed among you might notice that HORI is producing this ocarina, and some of you might also realize that this wouldn’t be the first time that Hori has made this exact same toy. That’s right, HORI produced an electric Zelda ocarina back in the day (this writer owns one!) and it doesn’t seem all too different than this one. The new version has finer details, but otherwise the original was also pre-programmed with Zelda tune that could be played at the push of a button. Regardless, if you missed out on that one, well, you’ll probably miss out on this one too, unless you can somehow manage a pre-order before a leech scalper gets one ahead of you. eBay listing are already showing up for $100 and more.

Ah, well. Happy hunting.
