Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault was shown off during last year’s Play Days at Summer Game Fest. My first thought as I was playing the game that I conveyed to the designers was, is this coming to Switch or Switch 2? Sadly, at the time they were mum on the prospect, but now my fantasy has become reality, as Moonlighter 2 was just confirmed as coming to Switch 2. Here’s the announcement:

Live the double life of a fearless adventurer and a crafty merchant! Dive into vibrant dimensions brimming with shiny loot and pesky enemies. Each run becomes a tactical puzzle of how much loot you can carry back and how far you dare to explore. After each escapade, put your hard-earned treasure on sale. Playing Moonlighters 2 at the time, I was impressed with its visuals, storytelling, and gameplay, so it’s a delight to know that Nintendo fans will finally get to play the game… eventually. Alas, there’s no word on when the game will come to Switch 2, but once we have word beyond “2026,” we’ll be sure to let you all know.
