Remember that life sim, farming sim, Pokémon game announced during one of the most recent Nintendo Directs? Alongside a new trailer, Pokémon Pokopia has received a release date. The game will be releasing next year, coming March 5th, 2026 to Nintendo Switch 2 exclusively.
Based on gameplay released, the game is slated to be inspired by games like Animal Crossing and Minecraft, with the extra flare of being able to utilize Pokémon and hang out with them on your cozy journey. It seems you will be planting gardens and crafting in your own special world.
In addition to announcing the release date, a separately released trailer all about Game-Key Cards shows the box for Pokopia, alluding to the fact the game will be one of the only Pokémon games so far to be a Game-Key Card. Could this mean Nintendo themselves could adopt that format in the future, as the Pokémon Company is as close to being Nintendo as possible without being Nintendo themselves? Should this develop, we will keep you updated.
