And the game it’s based on is one of the most loved in the series…

Last month, the LEGO community was abuzz with the latest rumor: another LEGO set based on The Legend of Zelda was on the way, set to release in March 2026.

Not much was known at the time other than that it would be 1003 pieces and was set 77093, but people of course immediately got to speculating what it could be based on the amount of pieces. Just over 1000 would be too small for something like The Temple of Time, but would be just the right amount for something like a diorama, as one commenter noted on brickfunfact’s post.

Today, we have more info, and it’s pretty exciting. Rumor has it that the set will be based on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and will be a diorama centered on Ganondorf. The rumored set name is 77093 Ocarina of Time Ganondorf Diorama, and will feature Link and Ganondorf.

This rumor comes from Brick Tap, who got the info from “a reliable Brick Tap member,” according to his video (info starts at 4:37). This will be the second set in the Zelda LEGO series, but only the first dedicated to one game; the Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set gives owners the option to set up the tree to either look like he did in Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild, and comes with four Minifigs of Adult Link and Child Link from OoT and Link and Zelda from BotW.

Looking at similar dioramas from LEGO in the Star Wars series, they range from between 500+ to 800+ pieces, so a 1003-piece set doesn’t seem too farfetched. Assuming this rumor is true, it begs the question: which scene will it depict? Perhaps the moment when Link enters Ganondorf’s throne room as Ganondorf plays the organ, Zelda floating in her crystal prison above him? (That would also give us the Ganondorf and Adult Zelda Minifigs that we don’t yet have.) Will it be a recreation of the first stage of their final battle? Note that it says Ganondorf and not Ganon, so that suggests it may not feature his beast form (but who knows at this point). Right now, take all of this information with a grain of salt, as it’s not even been confirmed as anything more than rumor, let alone a final product.

The tentative release of March 2026 coincides with next year’s 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda, though it remains to be seen whether Nintendo will honor it with a year-long celebration like they’ve done for Super Mario Bros.‘ 35th anniversary and are now doing again for its 40th. (I say that a bit bitterly, as they did no celebration for Zelda’s 35th anniversary nor the 25th anniversary of OoT, so I’m not exactly holding my breath.) This could be one of the special releases set for the series’ milestone celebration, if real.

Let us know in the comments what you think about this rumor, and what a Ganondorf diorama could depict!
