We’ve known for some time now that Japanese gamers that buy Rodea the Sky Soldier early on Wii U will also receive the Wii version of the title. Up until now, however, we didn’t know whether or not the same could be said for the game when it reaches North America.
Today, publisher NIS America confirmed that the promotional item is set to arrive in North American, as well! The Wii version will come on its own disc, similar to the way Bayonetta 2 shipped with the original Bayonetta. The Wii version of Rodea the Sky Soldier offers certain differences from the Wii version, including motion control options. The NIS America website is also offering a really neat special edition of the game, which includes an art book, a CD soundtrack and more. The Wii version is included in the bundle, as well.

“Fans will have to buy Rodea the Sky Soldier off the NIS website to get the other game”
As of right now, both Amazon and Gamestop’s product page mention the Wii version as a pre-order or “first print” bonus.
This is a cool little bonus. Thanks for the heads-up Marc!
Edited. Thanks for the head’s up, OG75!
