Welcome back to another Editor’s Week in Review! We hope you’ve all had a good Thanksgiving (or, indeed, ordinary weekend, if you’re not North American) and are feeling suitably refreshed after the holiday. We had a rather short news week this issue due to all the festivities, but thanks to a certain new console being released last week and it nearly being the season to be jolly, it’s been review central here at Nintendojo, so let’s get right on down to a recap of what we’ve been playing.
Things That Happened This Week
We’ve all been hard at work playing our brand new Wii Us over the last few days (or at least our staff in North America have– we Europeans still have five more days to go!), but Kevin’s also been playing the delightful Paper Mario: Sticker Star for 3DS and Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two for Wii. He absolutely loved Sticker Star, but did Epic Mickey 2 fare as well? Bradly and Marc, meanwhile, have been rediscovering their inner child in Skylanders: Giants— just click the banners below to see what they thought!
Kyle and Pierre also took a look at how Nintendo’s stepping into the modern world of adverts and unboxing ceremonies in their respective editorials, while Bradly waxed lyrical about the nostalgic pull of Perfect Dark. He and Pierre also took some time to debate the merits of consoles exclusives in the wake of the recent Bayonetta 2 fan rage (and don’t forget to vote for which argument you thought was the best!).
But that’s enough chat for now– you can always check out everything featured in this week’s issue in the ever-present box at the bottom of this article! From news to reviews, features and our faithful podcast, it’s all right there in one handy list.
Our Favourite Comments of the Week!
Our top commenter and recipient of 15 whole Ninja Points this week is lukas85 for his thoughts on Iwata’s unboxing presentation:
“Iwata is the Man, he is the most charismatic president of a worldwide company ever! I really lol when he said that the unboxing was pretty much like sales tv program.”
Our second favourite commenter and recipient of another 15 Ninja Points is sketdansuu for taking the time to post a comment about our podcast from his very own Wii U GamePad!
“Great show guys. I’m am really enjoying Miiverse and the Wii U in general. It definitely has some faults that needs to be ironed out. All in all, the positives outweigh the negatives imo. Will there be a Wii U gamenight in the future? (I’m posting on my gamepad, the browser is awesome!)”
Next Week’s Issue!
In Issue 130: Howlin’ For U, we’ve got even more Wii U reviews on the way, including New Super Mario Bros. U and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, so make sure you stick around to see what we thought of them. Oh, and don’t forget to have a look at our Wii U Guide, which is being constantly updated with all the info you need for
