6. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
After the release of Super Mario 64, it seemed that there was an onus on the game industry to bring every platform icon into the third dimension. Though the move clearly worked for Mario, the results varied for a lot of other franchises. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards broke with this trend, offering up a 2D side-scroller during a time when the genre had been all-but-abandoned. Interestingly enough, over time, the trend would reverse itself, and 3D platformers have become scarce, while 2D games have experienced a bit of a renaissance. In a way, Kirby 64 could almost be considered ahead of its time; in reality, developer HAL Laboratory was just doing what they’ve always done best, which makes this title an excellent candidate for the Nintendo 64 Classic Edition.
Um…I can’t see any list here in both Firefox and Chrome browsers?!
Oh nevermind I guess we just click on the page numbers. There should be some navigation arrows, or a button saying “Next” or something.
Yeah good luck with GoldenEye…We can only dream. Anyway assuming it and pretty much every other RARE game WON’T be on the system my list is very similar but has a few substitutions:

2) Zelda: Ocarina of Time
3) Zelda: Majora’s Mask
4) Mario Kart 64
5) Donkey Kong 64
6) Star Fox 64
7) Wave Race 64

9) 1080 Snowboarding
10) F-Zero X
This list omits Mischief Makers, therefore it is incomplete.
