After a year of intense rivalries and strained friendships, Nintendo has announced the final Splatfest will be taking place later this month on July 22, and it will be pitting Splatoon’s iconic Squid Sisters, Callie and Marie, against one another in the ultimate Turf War. Splatfests have been one of Splatoon’s most anticipated events, and have been instrumental in giving the shooter the longevity it has thus far enjoyed, so it’s a little sad to see them come to an end, though they couldn’t have culminated in a more appropriate showdown.

The colors even harken back to the old Wii Vote channel. When in doubt go green, I say!
I’m surprised they’re stopping the splatfests so soon. I didn’t participate in all of them, but it was a great way to keep a busy person like myself at least a little bit engaged with the game. I’ll be making it a point to join in for the finale!
Yeah, I’m so bummed this is the last one. Like Penduin, I haven’t participated in every one, but I’ve come very close. Probably only missed 2-3.
Honestly, I have no idea who to vote for! I love both characters! This might come down to a coin flip. One thing’s for sure, I’m not missing out.
