Level-5 has announced that Yo-Kai Watch 4 will be released  on Switch this winter in Japan.

The news was shared in the latest issue of CoroCoro Comic, where the game’s genre was interestingly listed as “RPG (Cross-media Project)”. It will apparently feature a grand journey that goes beyond the time and space of the world in which Natsume Amano, Keita Amano (Nathan Adams), and Shin Shimomachi live.

Yo-Kai Watch 4 was originally announced back in April but it’s good that we now have a release-window for it. Of course, there is no indication on whether the game will be made available outside of Japan at a later date.

While the Yo-Kai Watch series has always been well-received, it’s failed to really build up a strong following outside of Japan — indeed, we questioned earlier this year whether the series has a place outside of Japan.
